Notice the technique she uses to depict the banner strung across a corner. The banner can be as festive as you like or it can simply present a message, or both.

I like the placement of the mat high on the page that will cradle the featured photo. Should you want to write about the subject, the placard toward the bottom of the page can be any size to accommodate the journal entry. Various shaped background designs add interest to the comment placard, and the unusual accents that she placed along the bottom can be anchors for memory book embellishments or canvas for stamping.
