Journaling a Message

When you are journaling, to whom are you writing? When you’re journaling in a scrapbook should it be written differently than when documenting your thoughts at other times? The only time I have ever kept any kind of journal or diary was when my wife and I learned we were going to be parents. I started a journal on the day we received the news, I was surprisingly faithful in writing updates, and I finished it the day after my son’s birth. It was written to him.

In this humorous YouTube sensation you’ll see Andrew and Melissa Engstrom’s wedding video in which Andrew mispronounces his words and Melissa’s infectious laughter derails the ceremony for a time. In the included commentary they tell us about their courtship, their faith and Andrew’s desire to communicate with the woman that would someday be his bride.

Their comments give us insight (and some valued context) for their ceremony in a way that only they could share. Although you may experience buffering pauses in the video it’s worth hearing their story, so I encourage you to be patient during the minor inconvenience.  :-D
